The Robb 2024 Charity

“Anya’s Wish

Children’s Cancer Institute exists solely to put an end to childhood cancer. We don’t just hope to do it, we will do it”.

Professor Michelle Haber AM
Executive Director, Children’s Cancer Institute

The “19 for 19” Challenge honours Anya Zuber, a vivacious and inspiring 19-year-old who passed away from osteosarcoma in 2020. Anya Zuber lost her battle with this rare bone cancer. The charity has been set up to help battle this terrible disease. Funds raised are dedicated to The Children’s Cancer Institute. They are researching for a fundamental discovery to aid the treatment of osteosarcoma.

All funds raised this year by Robb College will go to the Institute to assist finding a critical cure for this debilitating illness.

Robb College Charity Fundraising

Each year Robb chooses a charity to raise funds for and support throughout the duration of the college year. The charities chosen are frequently ones that hit close to home for our students and everyone is more than happy to get right behind them. We started our directed charity work back in 1981 and over that time we have been able to raise over $1,000,000 for many causes.

Robb Naked Calendar

One of our fundraising efforts that began in 2012 is that of our annual nude calendar. This calendar is student run from start to finish and has gained huge support and definitely turned a few heads over the years!

These images are taken in trimester one and the calendar first goes on display and for sale over our Parent Student Ball Weekend. The images are showcased at our annual Art Exhibition on the Friday night and are then auctioned off at the Ball on the Saturday night, raising thousands of dollars for our charity.

Project Week

For Robb, a big part of our fundraising goes on during the first week of trimester two, in a week that is known as 'Project Week'. Over this week students from Robb attend a number of events, with all proceeds going straight to charity. To help raise awareness to what we do, the students wear an item of clothing that is related to the type of charity and branded with both theirs and our own information.

This has become well known with the university and is fully supported by students, lecturers and others around the community that have come to expect to see Robb dressed up during this week.
