Robb College at UNE is one of the few select Australian Colleges whose students are eligible to apply for one of these prestigious Scholarships.

The C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship commemorates the achievements of one of Australia's most respected pastoral pioneers who served with distinction in the First World War and went on to become a distinguished scholar and leading figure in the Federal Parliament prior to his tragic and untimely death in an aircraft accident in 1938. Established by his sister this is a prestigious scholarship available to any Australian student in year 12 or undertaking a three or four year course of study approved by the Trustees of the Scholarship Fund. In some instances it is offered to post-graduate students. Successful applicants can choose to study at one of 7 nominated tertiary institutions in Australia or in Cambridge, These include Robb College at the University of New England.

Applications normally open early December and close early January each year.

“C.A.S. Hawker was a truly remarkable man and a great Australian. Our challenge as Trustees is to encourage young Australians to apply. We are always interested to hear from students in regional Australia. Many are reluctant to participate in what is a simple process,” Mr Andrew Hawker, Scholarship Trustee and Hawker family member.
