GUEST SPEAKER: Lucinda Corrigan Director Rennylea Pastoral Company, Chair of the Animal Genetics and Breeding Unit at UNE

Lucinda Corrigan and her family run a performance recorded herd of 2,300 cows on two aggregations in Southern NSW at Bowna and Culcairn. Rennylea Angus is at the forefront of measuring performance since the inception of Breedplan in 1985. Every calf is fully recorded for phenotypes and genotypes, DNA tested at birth with the HD50K test. The herd is renowned for calving ease, fast growth, moderate maturity pattern and an elite carcase. The family has a clear succession plan and Generation 5 Ruth and Anthony Corrigan are equal shareholders and run operations on a day -to- day basis.

She has spent her professional life working in innovation across the livestock industries. Her background includes 3 terms as a Non Executive Director of Meat and Livestock Australia and Chair of the MLA Donor Company. She recently completed her term chairing the Sheep Sustainability Framework Governance Committee, is currently a non executive director Animal Health Australia, Genetics Australia and Chair of the Animal Genetics and Breeding Unit at UNE. She has a deep commitment to the development of sustainable farming systems and is an NED with Holbrook Landcare Network in southern NSW.
